Being afraid of failure...unhealthy fear.
Fear often keeps us from realizing our potential. So why are we so afraid to fail? Failure is just the training ground for success...and you can't get there any other way. It's the hard work you put in before you get the payoff.
I've heard the runner in a race analogy a million times so I'm gonna use another. You wouldn't think of going off a jump on a snowboard if you hadn't learned to snowboard at all. In fact you have to go through falling and bruises and many failures to even learn to snowboard...and at that point you haven't even gotten to the jumping part yet. So you see, failure is the road to your dreams. Thus failure shouldn't be feared it should be looked at as a skill to be learned. It builds up the muscle in our brains to take the next leap and not be afraid of the fall because we know we can get back up and try again and this time we are that much closer to mastery. But if we are afraid to even give it a shot one thing is for sure, whatever you are shooting for will always be a dream and never become reality...you will live your life at the starting line. In my eyes we should be jumping at the chance to fail because that means we are one step closer to success and realizing the potential that is inside of us.
