Once upon a time in the real-life world, love found a home in the hearts of two believers...a girl squirrel and a boy bumble bee.
Many moons ago they met and began a journey they did not know they would be taking together. It all began at a bowling alley. They shared some after shock under a lamp post, he flipped her off a quad, and he showed her a thing or two about cars. Then one day Squirrel saw a twinkle in Bumble Bee's eye and he stung her in the cherry. She was scared, so she ran away..and so their journey began.
Many moons passed and both Bumble Bee and Squirrel wondered if they would ever meet again. As fate would have it, one day they did. They were back to their adventures in no time. As they had grown older but not wiser these days were filled with pong, crazy parties, fires, long days and even longer nights, a loud ass car, and a butt kicking to church...and then she saw that twinkle in his eye again. She was a confused squirrel not knowing what that twinkle was, as she had not found it in herself yet, and Squirrel ran far away. Yet unknowingly to them both, this journey was no where near over.
Many more moons passed, baby Bumble Bees came, and Squirrel chased after nuts, and not much was spoken between them, but they would often think back to their adventures. Then one day out of nowhere Squirrel felt something strange. It was much like that twinkle she saw in Bumble Bee's eye. Could it be? She knew she must find Bumble Bee as he was the only person she ever knew with a twinkle. When they embraced each other, she saw the twinkle in his eye, and for the first time he saw the twinkle in her eye too. They knew what they both had was something special and decided to continue their journey they started so many years ago. They had gotten older but only a little wiser this time, and they had many more adventures together. They explored islands by boat; he showed her how to fly through the air; she showed him how to glide down a mountain; he conquered a bull; she tamed the beast; there were family and friends and fun and food and close calls and surprises; they worked hard; they played hard; they danced in the backyard; he picked her flowers; she left him notes; they hiked the woods and swam by waterfalls; they helped their community and fed spiders; he stung her all over the place...but this time Squirrel didn't mind.
Then one day Bumble Bee lost his twinkle, and this made Squirrel very sad because she felt alone. Bumble Bee didn't like making Squirrel sad, so this time he ran far, far away. Squirrel decided she didn't want to keep her twinkle anymore because it reminded her of Bumble Bee, so she threw it away. It looked like their journey had finally come to an end.
Just then a stranger who had been watching Bumble Bee and Squirrel's journey all these years picked up their twinkles that they had both discarded. He was a very wise stranger and knew just what he had to do to allow their journey to continue. He added his twinkle to theirs to make it the strongest twinkle there ever was. Stranger found Bumble Bee and Squirrel and gave the super strong twinkle back to them. He said that their journey was far from over and in fact could continue forever just as long as they kept all 3 twinkles together as one. Only then could they be strong enough to finish their epic journey...and it was very important that they continue their journey because other animals depended on it. Bumble Bee and Squirrel didn't understand the magnitude of what the stranger said quite yet, but resolved to do just as Stranger said because of his kindness. It was good to have their twinkle back. They kept all 3 twinkles together and though there were tough times and happy happy happy times they found the strength to continue their journey all the same...and neither ran away. As time passed they grew older and this time much wiser and they helped other animals find their lost twinkles. They shared their secret of the stranger and taught them the strength found in pairing their twinkles together with Stranger's twinkle. Thus many other animals had strong twinkles to go on their journeys now too.
Bumble Bee and Squirrel had many more adventures as time passed. In fact their journey continues to this day, just as Stranger said it would. One evening while sitting on top of a mountain after a long hike, Bumble Bee and Squirrel finally realized the importance of their journey and what the stranger meant all those years ago. Looking down the mountain, there standing bright, was a town of amazing light, their town...where once only one twinkle glowed.
